Creating a successful Spiritual Practice takes time, diligence and patience. Even though it doesn’t happen overnight, there are many key components you need to take into consideration.
My name is Daniela Birch and I have worked as an International Psychic Medium and Teacher for 20 Years. Yet like all of you, I had to start from scratch.
If I look back at my career, I would say what has worked for me is always following your passion and stepping out of your comfort zone continuously. There has to be an inner sales person inside of you that looks outside the square and is willing to ask for support, and also have a commitment to being of service.
If you don’t currently have any type of community support and you believe you can do this alone, then you are setting yourself up for a major burn out and your business will take longer to get up and going.
How do you get this level of help?
For me personally, I started going to local Psychic Expos or Fairs, where I could promote my services. Or I would check out what local school fetes are on and set up a stall; with my brochures and fliers, offering healings or readings and giving 10% to the organization. Where I could, I would get on the stage and offer 15 min talks to the audience.
If you work as say a tarot reader, I would recommend starting up psychic parties. This has given me the opportunity to offer between 6-8 clients 15min readings, and I have got many referrals, with many people booking me in for longer readings and telling their friends. Again, always look outside your comfort zone and be willing to take risks. If you wait for the universe to just deliver these clients and pray, you will be waiting a while!
I also introduced myself to local healing centres, offering them a FREE reading or healing and asked if they would help promote me or I could use their rooms as a casual. It’s great if you can to work from home mainly if you have the space; there are no overheads, you can pick and choose your hours yet it also means strangers are coming in and out of your house, so for some people, it’s not always ideal! So if you can get into some kind of centre where there are other practitioners, then you can recommend the other and work together as a team.
It is important you don’t see anyone who does similar work as your competition, but to treat one another equally and honour each other’s gifts. I have seen so many people believe there are not enough clients and they feel they need to control and manipulate to ensure they only get the bookings. We ALL have our own unique abilities and clients will be drawn to you for your skills. As soon as you step into your ego, the universe will start to pull back the support until you remember you are here to be of service and not for your ego to be fed.
I also recommend getting a Facebook Page, Instagram and Twitter account as soon as possible. I have found writing simple quotes with your name on them, really does drive the traffic on my page and people start sharing your work. You need to create a Fan Base, and encourage people to write on your wall. It is also important you acknowledge these people and reply to their comments. Building trust is No1 and communicating. I also do my best to answer everyone as soon as I can who sends me a direct message. Again, making them feel valued and helping them will have them talking about you to all their friends. Social Media does work, yet requires you to work hard and creating content they wish to read.
I have a blog that I have linked to my accounts, and I make sure that I touch on subjects that will have people talking about it. As a Soul Mate and Relationship Specialist, I write a lot about love and this is usually a subject most people connect and relate to.
Do your research; there are many great Spiritual Pages to follow and become inspired by, and take note what posts get the most likes, then follow your guidance what to write. Do not copy their work under any circumstance as you need to use your own creativity and words.
I hope this all helps, as these tips have worked for me.
