Why Spirituality and Making Money Are Entwined

For many, working as a healer, therapist and spiritual teacher is linked to a mindset that we should not charge much for our services. We have a natural gift and talent to help others and it shouldn’t cost them very much to have our services right? To do so would be exploitation right?

Wrong.  Just look at people like Tony Robbins who has a following of millions, is hugely respected, and is a multimillionaire, and who has transformed so many people’s lives for the better.

As in every profession, there are those who value themselves and their worth and there are those who don’t. Being a healer and therapist is no different. If you value yourself and your worth, if you have invested a tonne of money in getting yourself trained, if you offer a service that transforms the lives of others to a huge extent – then it is right to charge what you think that transformation is worth to that person.

One example, a recent client of mine had had a phobia of cars for almost 20 years. She had gone to many different therapists – hypnotherapists, NLP, you name it. She is getting married to her Soulmate this year and the thought of getting into her wedding car sent her into a panic.

We had six sessions during which I supported her to clear childhood trauma through the use of Emotional Freedom Techniques and Matrix Reimprinting. We also reframed negative thinking and language and started some new daily practices, including focusing on gratitude.

Now she has started getting into a car again, the phobia gone. She is looking forward to her wedding this autumn and has even started her own business.

That level of transformation is priceless. She would have been happy to pay twice what I charged I know and I was happy with the amount I charged her.

Healers and therapists with money are more likely to use it consciously, for greater change and positive impact to make the world a better place, to serve others. So why not make sure you have the money in your life to live more healthily, creatively, and to serve on a bigger scale? It is a myth to think that abundance is there only for the select few. It is from the Universe where abundance is limitless.  So use it wisely to serve in a limitless way and help many others to rise too.

You deserve to do that.

People often cite that Jesus, one of the world’s foremost healers, was poor and all healers should be poor.

Jesus could not have been poor because he was given gold, frankincense, and myrrh at birth by the Three Wise Men. God did not want him to be poor otherwise this would not have happened.

His family was protected by Balthazar (who brought the gold) when Herod decreed that all male boys should be killed. They were transported to Egypt where Jesus attended the Egyptian magic schools to learn his many skills.
