Vocation vs. Avocation: Crossing the Bridge

img_4698Does the term, “Don’t quit your day job,” ring a bell? If you’re a spiritual entrepreneur, then of course it does. How many times have you been told that the deep-seated center of your very soul and every fiber of the core of your being is…wait for it…wrong? Do people tell you there’s not a good chance you’ll make money doing what you love to do?

Do you wonder countless hours why you have such a gift if you can’t be successful at it? It doesn’t have to be so stressful or mind-boggling though. Many of us beat ourselves up with the sturdiest of boxing gloves because we have these spiritual gifts.

Moreover, we sit there scratching our heads wondering what to do with these gifts. The answer is simple, if you chose to make it simplified – just share them. That’s it, just share them. Regardless if you are a spiritual writer, energy healer, or medical medium, your gifts are not for you to hold on to; they are yours to share.

The more you share these gifts, the more joy you will feel. More importantly, the more you use your spiritual gifts and talents, the more you will magnetically attract the very same people seeking out your core gifts and spiritual talents.

Makes sense? It doesn’t have to be a situation where you reach the masses or the millions, it could be one person whose entire life turns around because you offered your core gift to them joyfully and generously. The rest will follow.

How often do you wonder or worry how much money or how much success you will attain from your core spiritual gifts and talents? Tell the truth, now. What would it look like if you were to just simply let go of the “what if’s” and the “how to’s” and just shared and shared joyfully?

It would look like this – freedom. You are free to offer your gifts generously and joyfully both as an active participant in the giving and receiving of joy. The fears and the energy blocks of worrying about abundance and manifesting and all the attachment to outcome disappear.

What stands in its place? You are doing what you are meant to be doing, sharing your inner light, offering up your gifts and most importantly, being authentic to who you truly are. This is the first step in creating a successful spiritual business. It’s in the authenticity of how you share and your motivations – the real reason you came here on earth – to help and to heal.

Then and only then can you begin to magnetize the people you were meant to attract. After that, comes your business plan, your marketing agenda and all the other aspects of running a successful business.

Once you find your avocation and let it roll with none of the attachment and all of the authenticity, then one day you might just find your avocation has actualized into your vocation.

Shine, share, and succeed – in that order.
