“They’ve had the life trained out of them”
Nothing lights me up more than watching someone speak on stage connecting with their audience as their words are soaked in the essence as who they truly are, in the moment, allowing the feeling to influence each next right word.
It’s art. It’s connection. And it’s what we are all wanting as humans.
CONNECTION.
Presenters have often had the life trained out of them, taught to master the technical and in return have forgotten what makes them stand out, which is their true essence, being able to present as the fullest expression of who they are in that moment, being ‘felt’ when speaking.
The problem with the term ‘Public Speaking’ is that the word ‘Speaking’ is misleading. When we understand that 95% of our brain is the unconscious mind, the feeling brain, then our words are more effective when we focus on the feeling and less trying to get it right.
Drop from head to heart, which is Stage 2 of my Unique Presenting Methodology. Drop away from what you think you’re meant to say and into the discovery of things you didn’t even know you knew because you’re tapping into something far greater than learning from the pages of a limited book. We’re tapping into greatness.
That, to me, is the holy grail of presenting.
