The Re-Birthing Experience

Take a moment and open up your mind to a possibly new experience. Embark into a mental space that you may or may not have experienced in your conscious/subconscious mind. I am going to walk you through a natural birthing experience.

This journey begins with the Latent Phase of Labor. This is commonly known as the early stage. This phase can last for hours or days. During this phase physically the woman may be experiencing what she feels to be “real deal” contractions or surges. These surges may indeed be intense but they will not be consistent nor will they be as strong as true contractions. The woman may feel uncertainty, self-doubt, anticipation, excitement, anxiety, and more. This is a period of awareness and patience for the soon-to-be mother and she has no choice but to progress through it.

Now let’s correlate this to the beginning or “early stage” of our spiritual journey. You may be experiencing some or all of those emotions that a mother experiences at the beginning of her labor and this may be what you believe is the most “challenging” time in your life, nothing has ever been more intense. Your relationship with God may seem distant and everything you thought you knew about religion may be in a disarray. But this is the time to become aware and have patience because this is the beginning of something being born inside of you that you can share with the outside world. It is important that you continue progressing through the labors of your spiritual journey.

As the process continues the woman then progresses into the Established Phase of Labor. This is commonly known as the active stage. During this phase, the woman must shift her consciousness on the task at hand. It is imperative that she becomes extremely focused and motivated. This is the point in labor where the mother is experiencing the truly strong and intense surges. For too many women this is a painful stage in labor while for others it is enlightening and empowering.

Considering our spiritual journey again during the awakened or “active stage”, at this point you have become “aware” or as a modern culture would say, “woke”. This is the stage that is forcing you to shift your subconscious and conscious mind. You will encounter numerous experiences that can raise your level of awakening if you are open and receptive. Although this phase may be tiresome and possibly painful it is the next to last stage and you are birthing something beautiful!

Next, the birthing experience enters into the Transitional Phase of Labor. For the woman, this phase is the most difficult stage. It is the point in the labor where she experiences what is said to be the most excruciating part of labor. It is at this time she has to push during her surges and help the baby transition into this world. Ultimately, she has completely surrendered.

In our spiritual journey, we have to push through times in our lives where we experience great hardship or pain. Examples of this might be the death of someone close or when a very important relationship ends. It is during these times that we feel as though we have little to no control. This is when we must completely surrender to God and embrace our journey. This sense of “loss of control” is only a new beginning of shifting your consciousness to realize how “in control” you really are.

Now that the birthing experience has run its full course you may wonder what’s next? Where do I go from here? You may be feeling anxious, nervous, liberated, courageous, determined, enlightened, motivated, confident, and/or inspired. To feel these emotions are great and nothing to be ashamed of because ultimately you have birthed something new within you!

So, my question to you is…

Are you TRULY ready to give birth to the “new” you? It’s time to be Re-Birthed!

Go Be Great!
