Living as an energetic being in a physical world can be confusing at times. That’s when it really becomes helpful to understand our own language with Source. Knowing how you communicate with the non-physical and how it communicates with you is invaluable.
Signs are one of the first steps I teach my clients about. Knowing your own personal signs and what they mean for you can help you translate the energetic information that is coming to you.
There are so many different types of signs, we are all familiar with 333 and certain birds like the crow or the eagle. Some of you may have even had the experience of finding a feather or a piece of change in a spot where it doesn’t make sense that it is there. Specific signs aren’t assigned to you, you choose the language that you want to communicate through. Even if it doesn’t seem that way at times.
I’ll give you a few examples from my life. I love nature. I am an outdoor woman who loves to hug a tree. So it makes sense that my first signs came in the form of animals, mainly birds. I would see certain birds and not be sure what they meant. But I had a feeling that told me it meant something. Cardinals are my main bird of communication. Next, I love to read and write. So I would often see a sign or book title or passage jump out at me. Those signs were a little easier to decipher as they were literally written words. And lastly, I love music and conversation. So I would often overhear a specific part of a song or conversation, that was just what I was needing to hear. These are not the only ways I receive signs they are just the most prevalent for me.
As I said, I recognized that these signs meant something, but I wasn’t always sure what. So with my Cardinal, for instance, I decided to Google it and read the different meanings. I also went to my local bookstore and found a book on animal symbolism. I took what meanings resonated with me and applied them to my current situation. Sometimes one meaning fit and other times another fit. This was helpful for two reasons:
- It opened up the line of communication between me and the nonphysical. I was now starting to form my own language.
- It gave me the confidence to start working with and trusting my signs, allowing me to further develop my own language.
As time went on, I started to refine my language with my signs and symbols. A cardinal now has the very clear meaning to me that Source is screaming yes and jumping up and down enthusiastically. When I see a cardinal, I pause and take stock of what I was just thinking about or what I had recently asked for guidance on.
I am currently being spoken to from Source via green parrots. When I was young these parrots were everywhere. I hadn’t seen them in 20 plus years. As with so many others, my 2020 was a poop show and I really needed some clear guidance and understanding of which direction I wanted to go. Yes, Source could’ve used my faithful cardinals, but I was asking for some big answers and those green parrots certainly grabbed my attention, when I needed to really hear, see and trust my signs.
Animals and numbers are the most basic signs we start to use because they are so prevalent. But because of this, we can easily write them off as simple coincidences. So how do you shift from questioning your signs to trusting them and receiving the information they have to offer you? The answer is simple but not easy.
You just believe it. Just accept it. Just find a way to make it fit into your personal experience. You just go along with it. Every aspect of working with nonphysical energy starts with just believing that first thing. Because there is no concrete, tangible evidence. YOU have to choose to accept it. Like I said, simple not easy. And when you catch yourself falling into the rabbit hole of asking the Universe to give you another sign to validate the sign you just got, pause and list, either mentally or by writing, all the times your signs were on point that you can remember. This will quickly shift you from fear to faith.
Signs are an external confirmation of what we know to be internally true.
We carry all the answers inside of us, but sometimes we can’t hear them, because we have so much BS chatter running through our beautiful minds. Signs help us get clarity. They help us cut through the noise and receive the answers and guidance we’ve been asking for.
To get the most value out of your relationship with signs you can implement these simple steps and watch your personal language with the nonphysical grow as well as your trust in it:
- Take some time to identify the top 3 signs you receive the most often. Is it an animal or a specific number pattern? Is it a song that always plays or an object that you see often? Grab your notebook or journal and write them down,
- Then every time you receive that sign, make an entry into your notebook and what meaning you assigned to it.
- Every week or so, sit down and read through your notebook. Make notes next to your entries on anything you receive about it while you are reading.
- After a few months, you will have a clearer idea of what those signs mean to you, and you will know it right away when you receive those signs.
- Then do the same thing with 3 more signs.
It’s important to recognize that signs can have multiple meanings and often do. What this practice does is help you get a clear idea of the main meaning. As the other meanings are often along the same lines. When you can receive a sign and trust what it means, you can then have the confidence to start asking more questions and getting more answers. This is how you use the power of signs to have a conversation with the Universe and refine the information received from more general to more specific.
And don’t forget, have fun with it! None of it is serious, even if the question is serious at the time. Joy and laughter keep the lines of communication open with ease.
