KIMBERLY MASKA:   Welcome everybody, welcome to Spiritual Biz Chat for Spiritual Biz Magazine, and today we have joining us Liliana Barzola. Thank you, Liliana, for being with us, how are you doing today?

REV. LILIANA BARZOLA:   Well, times are a little intense on planet earth. I’m doing well, considering that. Thank you for having me today.

KIMBERLY:   It’s a pleasure to have you here, Liliana! Could you share the story behind your personal journey down the path to your current life’s purpose and work?

LILIANA:   Yes. I was pretty sensitive as a child and that sensitivity manifested as physical ailments. I was essentially picking up on all the dysfunction in my family and in the world and it was making me sick. I grew up in the states but both my parents immigrated from South America. This influenced how they perceived my ailments. They knew about cudanderismo and the mind-body connection.

My mother helped me identify that my sensitivity could be used as a gift and not a curse. Unfortunately, I didn’t learn how to do that until I was 19 years old but the physical healing was profound when I learned how to understand and manage my intuition. This is why I teach courses on how to learn the language of your innate knowing. It will literally change your life.

KIMBERLY:   Very interesting and inspiring! How do you now use your skills as an intuitive in order to interpret how past lives impact who we are currently and how we interact with the people around?

LILIANA:   It can be quite liberating to recognize that fear or trauma you carry in this present life can be from a past one. Once you make the connection, it stops you from going down a rabbit hole trying to unearth some trauma from childhood that never existed. I had one client that was terrified of the water and once she released a past life death picture she was able to swim and feel the healing energy of water. A traumatic death from a past life is what I call a “death picture”. When you release that you don’t have to be stuck in the terror anymore.

As a practitioner, you have to gauge much how to share with a client when reading traumatic past life pictures. But oftentimes just the basics of what you see can go a long way towards releasing the old wounds. Suddenly the person has the answer and their body can naturally begin to recognize it is in present not past time. If you are wondering how the new body can carry a picture from the past, it’s that the picture is worked into the blueprint of the new body as a warning to not have the situation happen again. It’s a kind of protection. Like, ‘remember what happened the last time you got in the water’, or ‘remember what happened the last time you trusted this person’.

Sometimes a person suffers from past life persecution pictures. These can also keep you from living life to the fullest. It’s hard to really share who you are with the world when some part of you remembers being persecuted for doing that same thing in a previous life. Sharing your voice and standing strong in what you believe can be easier when these persecution pictures are healed and cleared. A mantra I like my clients to use is, “I release the trauma of this past life and retain the wisdom.”

KIMBERLY:   The business of spiritual growth can be scary to some, especially when one is pulling all their strength together to quit their 9-to-5 job, invest in their spiritual gifts, and run their own business. What are some ways to make that fear productive instead of allowing it to spiral out of control?

LILIANA:   Yes. It is scary if you don’t have a financial safety net and most of us don’t. I started this work as a pregnant single mama and it was scary. When you are clear about what you want to do that passion becomes a commitment. You can release any perfect pictures blocking your path. Perfect pictures keep you fixated on controlling your success like a tantruming child; feeling that things have to unfold in a certain way.

When you love something you can easily pivot and let go of any perfect pictures you are harboring. For example, when I was struggling to make my office rent, I started cleaning the building in trade for my rent. You gotta hustle until there is that breakthrough moment. Which for me was calling my boss at the restaurant where I was a server and telling him my business was too busy for me to keep working for him. It was worth all the pivoting. That was 18 years ago! Wow! Be humble but keep shining your light!

KIMBERLY:   With the coronavirus pandemic and all this current negative noise around us today, more and more people are turning to lightworkers in their search for peace and comfort, as well as discovering amazing benefits of meditation. As an expert, what meditation would you recommend for achieving body health and inner peace?

LILIANA:   Any meditation that brings you into your body and not out of it. The more you focus on embodiment the more alive your cells become. Rejuvenation comes from breathing life in and breathing out the stress. Giving yourself permission to feel the discomfort and saying hello to it is key. The moment you say hello to your discomfort it just melts away and makes room for your wellbeing.

KIMBERLY:   Is there a final message you want to let our readers know? Or just any last little words that you have for them?

LILIANA:   Yes! Don’t stop being you. Full flavor, volume up! You have been waiting for this moment all your life. Savory it. All this earthly chaos means we get to transform and heal the old patterns. There has been so much denial and oppression on earth. We are done with that. We are using our voices for justice and recovering the ancient wisdom.

KIMBERLY:   So inspiring, Liliana, thank you for this! And if our readers wanted to reach you, where can they find you?

LILIANA:   Yes, go to www.lotuslantern.org for classes and sessions and lots of free stuff on the website. Also, you can follow me on Instagram at @Lotuslantern.

KIMBERLY:   Thank you, Liliana, very much! It has been such a pleasure chatting with you today!

LILIANA:   It’s been an honor to be here. Thank you!
