INTERVIEW HIGHLIGHTS
Kimberly: What is a couple of marketing strategies that you are using when you are working with your authors to get their books out there?
Jacqueline: One of the things is definitely staying engaged on social media and not doing so much of, “Here, buy my book.” Sometimes you can post a quote from your book and give people just little bits of it so people can get engaged. Post a meme, and then people start sharing it which then helps drive more people to look at your stuff. If you have a link there, people can then click on it and go to your Amazon page.
Another one is just making sure that you’re staying in groups. As an author, I’m trying to stay engaged with as many writing groups as I can so I could share my things there.
Other things are doing a newsletter, joining different platforms, knowing who your market is, who your client is, who you’re going to be targeting your message to so you’re not everywhere trying to do all of these things, trying to reach all of these people who are not really going to be the ones buying your book anyway.
