KIMBERLY MASKA:   Welcome everybody, welcome to Spiritual Biz Chat for Spiritual Biz Magazine, and today we have joining us Amy White. Thank you, Amy, for being with us, how are you doing today?

AMY WHITE:   Hello there! I’m doing extremely well.

KIMBERLY:   It’s a pleasure to have you here, Amy! Before we get to all you do now with your spiritual gifts, could you share the story behind your personal journey down the path to your current life’s purpose and work?

AMY:   Yes, absolutely! My story and my personal journey to the work that I’m doing now is not conventional, that’s for sure! I spent more than 20 years climbing the corporate ladder, in areas of Technology, Finance, and Strategic Sourcing before making the leap into Intuitive Coaching, Mediumship, and Channeling. While I’ve sensed my intuitive abilities since I was very young, I spent the corporate years focused on using my left-brained, intellectual side to push and drive my path forward. It was fulfilling and for much of my career, I felt as though the work I was doing was my purpose and true calling. In a way, it was my purpose, in those moments, and it was also a beautiful training ground for me to learn to both trust my intellect and learn that there was so much more to “leading with my gut” than simply having the street smarts to be successful.

Things changed for me when, in 2011, my younger son went through a significant health crisis. The crisis led me on a 2-year journey that took me into the depths of despair and led me to place of self-love and authenticity that I’m not certain I would have found otherwise. During this time, I was forced to look at all the areas of my life; relationships, health, and my career. I knew then that what I was doing for work, was no longer fulfilling and certainly not joy-filled, and yet it would still take me a couple of years to make my move.

It is said that the flower will bloom when it is too painful to stay tightly held in the bud. And for me, eventually, it became too painful, and exhausting – body, mind, and spirit – to stay the course of my corporate trajectory. I finally realized that I needed to take a huge leap of faith, allow my intuition to guide my next steps, and trust that a net would appear. Even if I couldn’t see the net or the path forward from the vantage point of my office in corporate headquarters.

KIMBERLY:   How interesting and inspiring! What was the turning point in taking the steps to make your passion a business? And how have you managed to turn that into a business?

AMY:   When I left my last corporate position, I didn’t have another job lined up. I had been working as a Business and Life Coach as a side hustle for the 10 years prior. It was in doing this coaching work that I began to recognize my intuitive abilities and found that helping people to identify and move beyond blocks in their lives brought me a great sense of satisfaction and inspiration. After I left my job, I immediately began to focus on turning this coaching practice into a full-time business. At the time, I still wasn’t owning my intuitive gifts publically but leveraged this intuitive knowledge to support my clients.

When one is on the inspired path, life has a way of shifting into overdrive. That’s what happened for me. I went from a salaried job with benefits, to a solopreneur overnight. As I moved forward down this path, doors of opportunity flew open in front of me. Within six months, I had built a website, co-written a book, launched my coaching practice, and had begun sharing more of my intuitive insights with my clients. It was so well-received that I wondered why it had taken me so long to “come out” about this sacred and woo-woo side of me.

KIMBERLY:   The business of spiritual growth can be messy, and now it is even more challenging during the current situation with pandemic and everything it involves. What are some ways to help yourself take an emotional inventory & tap into your intuition?

AMY:   Yes, the messiness of spiritual growth. For me, the realization that this awakening wasn’t all Zen and rainbows was a big shocker for me. I had this idea that once I started on the path, life would be easy. And don’t get me wrong, I have experienced some of the most amazing, deeply healing adventures as I’ve been moving along this journey. The highest highs and some very deep lows. What I’ve learned is that this awakening is about all of this. It’s about not denying any part of ourselves. Not my physical body, not my emotions. All of it is critical to the evolution that my soul is here to experience.

Since I believe that the body is the antenna to my connection to my inner-knowing, I take time daily to ground and center, to acknowledge my body and partner with it. This has been a long process for me to learn to come into communication with my physicality. When I am connected into this physical vehicle, I am better aligned to tap into my emotional experiences. Not just the good feeling emotions, but the whole of my feelings.

In my morning practice, I not only connect my feet to the floor as a way of “dropping a pin” for my physical presence but I take time to listen to my inner voice and align with what I am feeling in the moment, without judgment. Since the pandemic began, this has been a daily process that allows me to recommit to myself and my path and also to slow down, taking each moment step by step. The more I do this with intentionality, the more open I am to hear my inner-knowing and can listen to my intuition as it guides me along this path.

KIMBERLY:   More and more psychics and mediums are opening up about their gifts, offering their services, and working on their spiritual businesses. In your opinion, what sets your spiritual gifts apart from the rest and makes your services unique? What can one expect from working with you?

AMY:   There are so many amazing healers that are stepping into the light and living from their authentic truth, right now. This constantly fills my heart with joy because the world needs the unique offerings of so many different types of guides and teachers. In my work, I help to guide my clients to hear their inner-wisdom, recognize where they are already on their path, and provide opportunities for expansion of their work through a deeper level of excavation of beliefs, blocks, and repeated patterns.

I channel a group of energies that call themselves The Greater Consciousness. They describe themselves as all the wisdom that ever was, all the wisdom that will ever be and all the wisdom that is here, right now, in this time and space, that exists within all living beings. Individually and as the collective. They are infinite wisdom. When a client works with me, I open up the channel to the Greater Consciousness and they connect with the unique wisdom of each client. They help put words to feelings, validate inner-knowing, and can open up possibilities that the clients have yet to consider. This is empowering work. It helps to create a roadmap but doesn’t provide turn-by-turn instructions. The value is in each client finding their way and defining the steps necessary to shift from the old stories and create ways to thrive regardless of how their outer conditions may appear.

KIMBERLY:   As an international best-selling author, what kind of advice can you give to someone who’s about to write a book, wants to write a book, or has just written a book?  What should be they aware of?

AMY:   What I learned from the experience of writing my book is that when you write, regardless of the genre, do it for the pure joy of allowing the story to be told. Whether anyone reads the book is secondary. It may sound counter-intuitive but when we write only for others, we lose the connection to the magic that is within us. Many writers focus on writing for what they believe the audience wants to read and what they will most likely purchase, and while these are important components, where a writer and ultimately a book really shines and when it is written from a place of honoring the authentic stories that live within the author’s mind and spirit. I also learned to not hold too tightly to expectations, from the process of writing, editing, and publishing. In my personal experience, I wrote my book three times. Each time, I allowed myself to get closer to my authentic voice which needed to tell the story in a way that was vulnerable and uncensored.

KIMBERLY:   Is there a final message you want to let our readers know? Or just any last little words that you have for them?

AMY:   We are in a time of great evolution, as individuals and as the collective. It is so critical that we take the time to allow our feelings to have space to exist without numbing, pushing them away, or judging them as being “wrong.” This is the time to nurture and nourish ourselves, body, mind, and spirit. Be intentional about what you consume; food, news, social media. Things are evolving and we will not remain in this state of what can feel like crisis forever, but from this experience, we will all be changed in some way. Allow the change as best you can. Know that what is coming, and what is here right now, is a gift for humanity. There is so much good here.

KIMBERLY:   So inspiring, Amy, thank you for this! And if our readers wanted to reach you, where can they find you?

AMY:   The best way to find me is on my website at www.amywhite.co. I’m also on Instagram @mzamywhite and Facebook @amywhitemedium as well. All of these links are on my site. And while there, check out my short, 8-part video series 2020: A Time of Evolution. It’s free and provides some good insight into where we are now, where we are going and what adventures are just around the bend.

KIMBERLY:   Thank you, Amy, very much! It has been such a pleasure chatting with you today!

AMY:   Thank you so much! I’m grateful for the opportunity to speak with you!
