The new year is well underway. We’ve already set our goals, so the seeds of possibility have been planted. But the energy of this month is moving fast, our plates are full, and some of us are feeling like we’re already playing catch-up. It’s easy to get overwhelmed and become confused about where to begin. But it’s time to move forward with manifesting our desires.
Start this month by examining your priorities. With all the tasks we’re taking on and our high-expectations, the energy can be overwhelming. Stress is an ego-driven emotional reaction that results from how we interpret our feelings. When the ego’s in charge, we operate from a place of fear and want to fix everything all at once. Instead, listen to your higher self this month and prioritize.
Be proactive and take the necessary steps to accomplish the things that matter to you most. You don’t have to climb mountains. Follow through with your plans one hill at a time. Acknowledge the inner chatter of the all-too-familiar fear of failure. This will remind you not to give in to it. Be mindful of any stress created this month so you can tweak away, bit-by-bit, at your old patterns of behavior and develop new perceptions to change whatever you want to change.
Examine any behaviors and dependencies that might be contributing to your stress. Be honest about what’s important to you and whatever it was that inspired the goals you set for yourself earlier this year. Start each day asking yourself questions like, “What are my priorities today? What things have I been putting off that need to be taken care of? What needs be balanced in my life? What are my deepest desires?”
Check your priorities. Are they yours or someone else’s? Take care of YOU. Take responsibility for yourself. Listen to your inner voice. What is it that’s most important to you and inspires you? As you till the garden of your life for your next harvest and nurture the seeds of possibility, remember, you are the master gardener of your life. The answers will come to you. Thank the universe for blessing you and watch the seeds you planted grow.
