How do you view time? Have you realized that the past and the future actually do not exist? I say they don’t exist because can you ever take action to change anything in the past or in a future that hasn’t yet taken place? What if I told you that the only time that truly exists is Right Now?
Let’s consider this. Can you take action Right Now? Yes, right? Can you create how you want to spend your time Right Now? Yes, you can! What if from now on you only spend time in the Now? Right Now, this very second, even as you are reading these words, just pay close attention to what you are doing Right Now and become conscious of how you want to spend your Now. Let’s take a closer look.
We have all heard many times over, “Live your life presently, live in the moment, stop and smell the roses,” and much more like phrases. They’re all saying the same thing. Even Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) groups help to heal their members with the motto “One day at a time.” Why do you think it is so important to live one day and one moment at a time? It doesn’t seem as overwhelming and stressful when we are focused on the one thing and one moment right in front of us, right?
When we just focus on the moment, there is nothing that can plague you in that moment. That moment can bring you joy, laughter, peace, and solace. Your mind becomes very calm and open to receive messages and insight to any situation that you want answers to. Living your life Right Now or in Presence becomes exactly that, a Present, a Gift! There is no coincidence that the words ‘presence’ and ‘present’ are spelled almost identically. This is the way of God/Source/the Universe to clue us in on the gift and miracle of presence. There is no worry and or stress when we live Right Now.
When you learn to live presently, it becomes a walking, breathing, living meditation. You are in constant meditation, in direct communication with God, Source, your Higher Self, and the Universe within you. It actually would become difficult to make a mistake or wrong turn when you are in alignment with your true self, all because you are living Right Now, in the moment. How freaking awesome would that be? Pretty awesome, I know!
Do you know what living Right Now also helps with? When we learn to live in the Now, it aids the healing process, especially Forgiveness. Why is that? It helps us because we understand that living Right Now is the only time that truly exists. The past is done. You cannot go back and change anything. What’s done is done! To live in the present moment, it is necessary to forgive yourself and forgive others. If you are holding onto to the past, you are obviously not living in the Now.
Living Right Now forces us to let go of all that plagues us and has hurt us. This is one of the main reasons why it is so difficult for us to live in the Now because we either don’t want to let go of the past or we don’t know how to let go of the past. I know how tough it is to let go of something or someone that has hurt us, as I have mentioned in my previous article ‘The Gift of Forgiveness”. Though, believe it or not, what makes it easy to let go and forgive yourself and others is living in this moment, Right Now, because we understand once again that the only time that exists beyond question is Right Now!
Drill this statement into your brain over and over again: the only time that exists beyond question is RIGHT NOW! Say it to yourself over and over again, write it out, whatever helps it to sync in. You are reprogramming your brain, your subconscious to believe that statement, and in time you will let go of anything that isn’t in the Now. You will let go of your past and any worries or anxieties of a future that has yet to take place. Instead, create your life Right Now, so every step you take creates the future you want to live in every moment. Come on, let’s do this! I will do it with you! Let’s live our life Right Now!
Love, Light, and Blessings to All!!!
