Is Your Inner Power Grid Primed for Breakthroughs?

Self-employment can be looked at as the path towards self-esteem and self-empowerment.

Because without your spiritual world aligned with your inner power grid and wisdom, it’s really hard to launch, scale or run a profitable business.

So what is our inner power grid?  Where does it come from and how do we get it aligned and primed to launch scale and profit with our Spiritual Business.

Carlyon Myss discovered our power archetypes: The Child, The Victim, The Saboteur, and the Prostitute.

Together they decide how to manage our personal power.

I like to call them our power grid because any weaknesses or breaks in the grid will drain personal power.  Viewing the archetypes as a grid is a helpful way to diagnose where power is lost so we can go in and heal the issue directly.

The archetypes are sub-personalities of our human nature that have both a loving-giving side that opens us to the power to create abundantly and a fear-lack side that sets us up for struggle, self-sabotage, and trauma.

I find it super interesting that the rules for how we access our personal power, are set up in childhood, exactly when we are the most confused, most innocent, most undefended, and uninformed.

It is during that time that we unconsciously learn to find our place in our family and decide who we are based on the culture and what was happening.

Yes, it’s true.  EVERY family is dysfunctional, some a bit more than some.

As children, we unconsciously decide how to view ourselves and strategize how to use our inner power so we can get what we need based on what kept us safe, loved, and accepted in our first family.

Depending upon the climate and culture of your family and your own unique soul purpose, how much personal power you have to use in the world is defined unconsciously.

The setpoints for personal power don’t change until we consciously decide to do so in adulthood.

The power drain we experience as adults, AKA self-sabotaging behaviors, decisions, and actions, stem from our most innocent, vulnerable, and unknowing child trying who is STILL trying to get her needs met for love, attention, caring, and respect in the same ways that worked for her ever so long ago.

When your core is in the light and free of conflicting energies, that is when you have the freedom of unstoppable personal power to create in the physical world.

When your core personality is still carrying unhealed childhood emotional wounds, that is when the free flow of personal power slows, trickles, or stops.

The power archetypes are:

The Victim

The Child

The Saboteur

The Prostitute

When the victim archetype is in its power it has a healthy sense of self that sets clear boundaries between your core soul self and other people.

The power for a victim is when you get to say yes or no, mean it, and have it respected.

The victim part of us gets stuck and leaks power when it becomes fearful that it cannot protect our core self on its own.

It believes forces outside of themselves victimize and control their choices.

The BEST way to heal your victim back to power is to let yourself get fed up with getting walked all over.

FINALLY, drum up plenty of F-U energy and wholeheartedly declare, “NEVER AGAIN!!!”

When you allow this powerful surge of deserving anger to 10X your inner energy it’s easy to set strong boundaries and take actions needed to change any disempowering situation.

That is the TRUE power of anger.

We also have a child archetype part of us that governs our power to choose to be alive and open, to be responsible for our actions, and to trust in a power greater than ourselves.

You can tell it’s your child acting up when parts of you feel like you don’t belong, don’t trust authority, and have hissy tantrums when things don’t go your way.

The BEST way to give your child power is to forgive those who let you down or dominated power over you so you CAN learn to trust and make choices that support you again.

Our Inner Saboteur seems like it hates us for all the hardship its unconscious behaviors create.

The truth is, our saboteur is the part of us that will automatically defend against emotional or physical danger when a situation looks like something that caused us great pain in the past.

The saboteur does its job by making sure WE DON’T repeat a trauma.

It will unconsciously challenge your will with behaviors and situations that distract, delay or even derail your projects.

The problem is the saboteur really acts as your best friend who hasn’t yet been informed that traumas in the past, are no longer a threat.

Because it has outdated information, your saboteur will continue to “keep you safe” into adulthood by sabotaging behaviors that prevent you from reaching your breakthrough goals.

Power losing saboteur issues:

  • No discipline for health, relationships, money, business;
  • Low self-esteem, easily distracted, addictive coping habits;
  • Hiding authenticity behind a persona that isn’t you;
  • 14 hour a day Spiritual visioning with a 3 hour a day action focus;
  • Never seeing your wins, no sense of power to create;
  • Denying your gifts/belittling or undermining others.

There are more disempowering symptoms, but it’s a lot more fun to see how our saboteur can help us have a greater sense of power to make the things that matter to you… happen.

A Saboteur in her power:

  • Knows what she wants, goes for it… and gets it!
  • Is not afraid to be independent and lead making sure everyone is taken care of and no one left behind.
  • Does what she knows she should and doesn’t do what she knows she shouldn’t.
  • Chooses relationships that support her and her life purpose.
  • Shares her dreams with others so they can support her to reach them.
  • Trusts in her guidance and takes action on it without hesitation.

And lastly, we have the prostitute.  None of us wants to believe that we’ve sold our souls out for fears and survival, but most of us do.

When Sally, a hard-working digital marketer, realized she had sold her core pleasures and freedoms of playing sports in exchange to be loyal to her dad’s hard work ethic, she was floored.

Once she realized why she couldn’t stop working, and that she had taken loyalty to her dad’s wishes a bit too far, we healed her situation and she became very grateful.

Because that is when she started really leaning into the balance of working and allowing her the FREE time to exercise, play and fully enjoy soul-level feelings of freedom that are replenishing her heart and spirit, every day.

She lost 15 extra pounds and now has oodles of energy to serve more people and create new projects.

The prostitute archetype represents our code of honor and sense of self-respect.

This is important as Spiritual Business owners because with every level of business expansion comes more power to influence more people and the necessity to stay in integrity with Spirit.

Like Spiderman’s uncle said, “With more power, comes more responsibility”.

What’s cool about this archetype is every time you choose to become more empowered, Spirit will test you to see if you will negotiate that power in the dark.

And every choice you make to honor your soul will yield you more power that cannot be bought or seduced.

So, the next time you are offered an opportunity that leads to more power, you can screen yourself for the temptation of darkness by asking these discerning questions:

“What will this cost me spiritually?” instead of, “How will this profit my situation?”

I hope that helps.

Priming your archetype power grid to serve in the light is the path towards self-esteem and self-empowerment.

Having your inner spiritual world aligned with your archetype power grid and wisdom is the pathway you need to harness the self-esteem and empowerment needed to launch your next business breakthroughs.
