BELIEVING THE UNSEEN
The thought of psychosomatics has me fascinated. It always has been since I knew my grandfather’s health was improved on the sugar tablets that my nana asked the doctor to prescribe for him. That was decades ago. Yet the concept of believing in something so much that we ‘make it so’ is still intriguing to me. Even though we may understand the concept that our thoughts create our reality, we can still be inhibited by it.
All around us there is BS.
Belief Systems that others have created for themselves, and we follow along like sheep.
We can believe something to be true even though we cannot see it, touch it, feel it or taste it. Think about it. How many ideas that have come our way, be it in school, in religion, from our parents, from friends, or even partners and we have believed it?
We have built our lives around it.
We have changed ourselves for it.
We have modified ourselves to accommodate it.
We have sacrificed people to continue believing it.
If this can make such a profound change in our core being then is it too much of a leap to accept that we can invent our own beliefs? Ideas that don’t exist elsewhere?
LIVING WITHOUT TRUTH
This can work both ways, of course. We can create beliefs from our perceptions. This can be negative or incorrect, simply because we don’t know the facts.
We can change the way we think about someone simply because we didn’t know all the truth behind a circumstance.
We could change a career path because we didn’t investigate the pre-requisites for a course we were interested in, or decide that we couldn’t buy that wonderful house because we thought we weren’t eligible for a loan.
We can also be lead to believe things that are not true (by the fact of the matter) because we are fed misconstructs or falsities for the intention for us to believe, therefore creating our own belief in a lie. It could be a story about someone else. It could be direct lies that we’ve been told.
Either way, we believe.
Either way, we change according to that new belief.
CREATING THE UNREAL
So what if….. with all the psychosomatic implications in the world and all the non-truths that we could follow, what if, we could make up our own set of beliefs and build our lives on that?
What if we could decide anything we wanted to and then follow that idea?
What if we started again giving up the beliefs we adopted as a child, pretending that we have no beliefs at all and only continued believing in ideals that we’ve assessed as matured adults?
What if we were able to remove all layers of false beliefs that we took on and layered onto our psyche?
What if, we could step back and look at every thought and throw out the ones that were detrimental, unhealthy, and out-dated?
What if we could change the beliefs within us that were causing our diseases?
Can you imagine for a moment what we would believe and could believe?
Thoughts are energy, and what predominating thoughts we put some form of effort into becoming motioned into being.
Don’t you think you owe it to yourself to give energy to Higher beliefs about yourself?
How about we all think of what could be possible for our Highest Good, and make some new beliefs based on that?
And in becoming our better and Highest Selves, we can only raise the vibration around us, and in doing that, we are helping ourselves and the rest of humanity.
