About three or four months after I started working with my angels and guides on a regular basis, I noticed something interesting:
Not only were they communicating with me through the daily conversations I had with them, but they also began to show up in my dreams.
Previously, I was used to having intense nightmares almost every night, so this was something new. And I loved it!
My guides often came to me with messages, and I could feel a beautiful healing presence whenever they came to visit me in my dreams. I was just going through a tough break up, and these encounters with my guides helped me feel comforted and safe.
I knew that even though I was on a rocky road, things would get better, and in fact, I even got to meet my future soulmate in my dreams.
Later on, there was a time when I was no longer as open to the angelic realms, and my dream encounters stopped for a while.
However, in the past year or so, I’ve been seeing them regularly again, and just like back then, I’m finding those dreams to be both profoundly insightful and healing.
While I love being able to talk to my guides while I’m awake, I’m always grateful for the opportunity to meet them in my dreams. Not only because this is a much more direct and “real” way of communicating with them, but also because in the dream state, it’s easier to access different levels of consciousness without the human ego getting in the way.
In our dreams, we can work on a subconscious, energetic, and spiritual level, which means we can actually visit higher planes of consciousness outside of the astral plane (which is where most dreams typically take place if we’re not consciously connecting with the higher realms).
If you’re interested in using your dreams to connect with your guides to receive healing and messages of wisdom, here are a few tips for you to get started:
4 STEPS TO CONNECT WITH YOUR GUIDES

HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS TO CULTIVATE HEALING DREAMS
1. Meditate: First of all, I recommend following a steady meditation practice. This is the most effective way to open your mind to higher states of consciousness in your waking life, and this will affect your dreams, too. The more connected you are to your own higher consciousness while you’re awake, the easier it will be to access higher spiritual realms in your dreams without forgetting those experiences right away.
2. Ask/set the intention: If you’re not already having spontaneous healing dreams as a result of the spiritual work you’re doing, you can create them by asking your guides to visit you in your dreams, or simply by setting the intention to receive healing or insightful messages while you’re asleep. The universe always listens!
3. Journal: Experiencing healing dreams is one thing. Remembering them is another! If you’re having trouble recalling your dreams in the morning, I highly recommend keeping a dream journal. Writing down your dreams will make it easier for you to remember them. At the same time, this practice will allow you to understand your dreams more clearly. Personally, I often don’t understand the full meaning of my dreams until after I’ve written them down. (And when I go back to read what I wrote weeks or months later, I sometimes get new messages, too.)
4. Release: Sometimes, answers come quickly while at other times, it can take a little while. If you’re not immediately seeing results, don’t force the journey. Allow it to unfold naturally, and see it as a fun experiment. Spiritual encounters happen most easily when we’re in a state of non-resistance. Therefore, the more relaxed you are about meeting your guides or receiving healing visions in your dreams, the more quickly these experiences will manifest.
