One of the things I love to do after having my cup of herbal tea in the morning is to offer up prayers of gratitude and thanksgiving. Although I am in transition and living with a close family member at the moment, I am grateful to have a place called home.
I look forward to moving within the next several months. Creating sacred spaces is one way that I can tap into my creative side. I love relying on my intuition to help me with interior design. I enjoy having guests walk into the sacred space I have created and feel like they are at home.
While our world is currently in the midst of a crisis with the Coronavirus pandemic and many are quarantined and confined indoors, I am comfortable being tucked away behind closed doors because home is where my heart is.
Another part of my morning ritual is to pull oracle cards for my daily inspiration. Today I decided to use The Enchanted Map deck by Colette Baron-Reid. The home card surfaced this morning and the message is what inspired this writing.
Being at home isn’t just a physical location but it also means being comfortable in your skin. Being at home and comfortable in your skin offers peace, security and a sense of belonging. These are features that many of us want as it relates to being at home.
Being at home represents an invitation to experience what it is like to live comfortably regardless of what may be happening in the world around you. It is also a time where we can open up our eyes to those who are like-minded and other special people in our lives that make us feel like we are at home when we are engaged with them.
I pray for those that aren’t able to feel at home within themselves. I am amazed at how many people seem to be uncomfortable and afraid of being themselves. I think it’s time for us to cultivate true love for ourselves. I believe that it is possible to create a new sense of safety and security within.
It’s time for us to say goodbye to the pain of the past and stop returning to people and situations that will lead us back to the painful experiences of our past. It’s time to say NO to the pain of the past, say no to the voice of our inner critic and no to those people that we encounter in life that want to dim our light to make themselves look brighter.
I want to encourage you today to start shopping for a new home, a new place of belonging and take refuge in the truth that something beautiful and wonderful awaits you up ahead.
