Finding Your Spiritual Tools for Business

Every morning when I arrive in my home office, fueled by coffee and ready to work, I pull an oracle card from one of my favorite decks. I read the description and use it to set the tone for my day.

This is just one example of how spiritual tools can be incorporated into your work as a spiritual entrepreneur. I don’t know about you, but my work as a content creator isn’t often spiritual, so whatever I can do to bring in those tools and rituals that are important to me and that feed my soul, I do!

Finding the Right Tool for the Job

We all have our own special spiritual skills and preferred “toys,” as I’ll call them. I work with Goddess energy, so if I’m trying to work through a block in my business (like why didn’t that amazing potential client seal the deal?), I might sit in meditation and have a conversation with Athena, who tells me to be more assertive and follow up with the potential client.

Maybe crystals are your jam. If you’re dealing with a combative client, you might hold a piece of black obsidian to keep from absorbing his negative energy. Or you might place a piece of citrine on your desk to emit positive vibes.

Tarot, candles, meditation, sacred oils, yoga…each of these can be used to enhance your work and provide clarity and intuitive guidance. It’s just a matter of reframing these tools to fit your business. If you’re like me, you’ll use several of these tools!

The Importance of Rituals

When I think of the term “spiritual entrepreneur,” two profiles come to mind: the first is the person whose business operates in the spiritual realm. I’m talking about tarot readers, psychics, reiki healers, and intuitive coaches.

But really, any entrepreneur can be spiritual, even if their offerings aren’t “woo.” I write about finance and business, which is anything but woo, yet I consider myself a spiritual entrepreneur. The difference between how I do business now and how I used to before I started incorporating spiritual rituals is small but significant.

You see, I used to feel torn in two. There was the spiritual, curious side of me that I reserved until after work was done, and there was the kick-ass entrepreneur who made money and closed deals. I didn’t like the duality, so I decided to shift it. That’s when I started creating tiny rituals, like lighting a candle and drawing a card each morning, or rubbing a mood-boosting sacred oil on my wrists when I was struggling to find inspiration.

We can look at work as work, or we can find ways to play as we fulfill our roles as entrepreneurs. Adding in rituals, however small, can make all the difference in our attitudes at work.

The World Needs More Spirituality in Business

Have you felt the shift that is happening in the world? It’s manifesting in so many ways, but one way I’ve noticed is in how we do business. During the pandemic which shall not be named, everyone was working from home, and we quickly learned to adjust to the removal of that professional mask so many of us wore when we got dressed up to go to an office.

We started getting more personal and sharing more of who we were outside of work. For me, that was my spiritual self. I have clients who now know that I commune with goddesses and, while initially, I was afraid of what they’d think, I’ve gotten their full support.

I’m not sure why the business place was devoid of personality for so long, but I’m glad that it now feels safer to be who we are, spiritually-savvy folks who also happen to be entrepreneurs.

To boost your own spirituality (which has the fantastic side effect of helping your business thrive), find rituals and tools you can bring into your everyday world at work.
