Finding Your Own Inner Shepard in Uncertain Times

I don’t know about you but as 2021 unfolds, I’ve been noticing more and more of even my most grounded and purpose-driven clients struggling to keep positive and in Faith during the massive shifts happening not only in our personal worlds but just about everywhere on our planet.

As lightworkers, as purpose-driven Spiritual healers, it’s our job, our life purpose to hold steadfast and stay aligned with the light of faith even as we walk through our own fearful “valleys of the shadow”.

We know first hand the fact that love held steadfast in the face of fear heals all conflicts and opens us up to the freedom of choice and of true abundance.

If we don’t stay steadfast and keep our conscious awareness focused on the safety and support Faith provides, not only do we risk derailing our efforts to make bigger impacts with our purpose-driven businesses, the absence of our light contributing to the collective consciousness lets another layer of fear dominate the hearts of good people not yet awake and evolving.

When the hearts of good people allow fear to dominate, they become emotionally impaired and can not make their own heart and soul purpose decisions.

With fear dominating, it’s easy to become overwhelmed in a loop of flight or fight survival tactics and look for desperate ways to get out of fear.

Natural examples of a flight response triggered by emotional fear is an overall feeling to run, hide and find a safe place to cocoon, numb against the overwhelm and fall asleep “till all of this is over”.

And for those triggered by emotional feelings into a fight response will fight feelings of uncertainty with anger and look for power to dominate and control, to dominate and win.

Some of us find ourselves going back and forth between the two.

We may feel split, angry, and wanting to fight for or against unreasonable changes and injustices but feel powerless to make a change.

Feelings of overwhelm may drive us to the point of withdrawing and cocooning at home, numbing ourselves with favorite distracting activities … anything to avoid the feeling of uncertain fear, powerlessness, and disconnection from our normal living patterns.

The flight or fight response is an ancient survival strategy that brings our bodies into a heightened physiological state of readiness.   

It is meant to last 15-20 minutes. 

This natural human response is meant to fight the physical danger, not long-lasting emotional fears of things we can not see to fight, yet threaten our survival and freedoms of choice.

When reality doesn’t change in our favor, we tend to hit the situation harder with more of the same flight or fight strategies.  

Nothing changes, because WE are still responding to fear with fear and not focusing on what truly is real.

What truly is real is what leads us to the still waters of peace and the abundance of green pastures and safety, is the power of unconditional love, and Faith in the Divine.

Without an inner feeling of love or the direction of Faith to rely on, stress accumulates chemically in our bodies, and energetically in our consciousness.

People become depressed, depleted, and powerless.

Fearful, directionless, disempowered people who don’t know how to find safety, and empowerment within themselves, tend to follow the lead of whoever is waving the flag of leadership.

They follow even when the Shepherd waving the flag says they have the best interests of people in mind, but the actions they take do not.  It’s hard to know who and what to trust.

It’s also impossible to focus on being happy, thriving, loving our neighbors as ourselves, and making a difference when consumed by fear of what will happen next.

It’s hard to know how to safely navigate these troubling times of uncertainty.

What to do?  How do we as healers help the good-hearted unconscious find their own ground and find Shepherd’s to follow who DO have their best interests in mind?

I suggest making a conscious focused effort to align with the light of Faith and love and teach others to do the same.

Because when each one of us makes a decision based on love and faith, each time, when we do, we lift layers of fear for millions of other people. 

Besides that, it’s good to manage our own energies for self-healing and keep our vibrations intentionally higher, stronger, and more aligned with the light.

Here are some things I’ve been doing for myself and suggesting for my clients:

  • Every time I ground and align my inner world with focused healing energies for myself or my clients, I intend that the excess contributes to the calming of fear in the collective.
  • Dedicating an extra hour beyond my regular meditation practices to send grounded heart, soul, and universal energies to blanket the world with the intention of bringing peace & happiness to the souls of good-hearted people in our world.
  • Starting or joining a consciousness-raising Spiritual Ascension Circle and pooling everyone’s healing energies together
  • When I find myself triggered in fear, and can not ground due to the intensity,  I’ll repeat a favorite Faith building mantra or prayer until I feel peace permeating my essence.
  • I also teach each and everyone one of my friends and clients how to access the feeling of heart love in their bodies, so they can be grounded & connected to their own inner Shepard right away.    HERE IS HOW:
      • STEP 1:  Inhale slowly & deeply and hold your breath for a natural heartbeat count of four. Exhale and repeat
      • STEP 2: This time as you hold your breath, notice how each beat of your heart generates a pulse of love. If you don’t notice it at first, that is OK, just remember someone or a pet you truly love as you notice each beat of your heart. Continue this step as long as it takes to feel the pulse of love with each one of your heartbeats.
      • STEP 3:Imaging the beats of love coming from your heart spreading to nurture your lungs, and your body. Feel each beat of your heart sending love to every cell in your body. Feel each beat of your heart sending love to the spaces in between the cells of your body. Continue until your entire body is filled with the spreading warmth of love coming from your own beating heart.
      • STEP 4:  Decide if your heart beats a steady thump, thump, thump or if it beats ker-Plunk ker-Plunk. If its a steady thump thump thump, then notice how the first beat is for you, and the 2nd beat is for others. If it beats ker Plunk, ker Plunk, notice that the love contained in the “ker” beat beats for you and the “Plunk” beats for others
      • STEP 5: Repeat daily to raise your inner vibration of love, or as often as needed in the presence of unreasonable fears.

 

Notice that you did not have to do anything other than to focus inside to feel love.  You did not talk with anyone, buy or do anything, other than to generate your own conscious feelings of love with breath and focus. 

Knowing how to access love in your heart on demand is necessary during these uncertain times.

Being able to manage fear and stress allows you to be present and make choices and decisions that support you and the greater good. 

It is a powerful way to stay centered, grounded, and focused on your purpose, and stay in Steadfast Faith during these wild, uncertain and difficult times of change.
