Dear Deziree,
I need advice….
Every time I take a step forward in my spiritual Biz, I get hit down with an illness…
For instance, I finally decided it was time to plan a spiritual evening last week to encourage new clients and find out what direction to go with my business, and I had to cancel because I lost my voice…and a week later I am still ill, on the sofa, unable to go to my paying job…
I don’t think it’s a coincidence, it happens every time. What can I do?

Dear Claire,
My intuition tells me that the reason you seem to get ill (especially losing your voice) is that you are not clear about who and what you are in your Spiritual Gifts and Capabilities. I believe this is correct because you are willing to completely hand over your business to your potential clients along with your ability to be a powerful leader.
Intuitively, I sense that you may be dealing with boundary issues and this is why you lose your voice. Somewhere along your path, I feel that you weren’t guided or encouraged to follow your inner guidance system to try new things and take risks. Somehow, I feel you were taught to play it safe and you did but I feel deep down you resented the fact that you were not able to follow your dreams. This led to you not speaking up for yourself and handing over your power to other people.
So, in this case, having this situation happen, a belief system was formed, “I’m not capable of directing my own path so along with losing my ability to choose, I also lost my ability to speak up.” Symptoms like this (losing your voice, illness, etc.) show up to put a spotlight on areas of weakness that need healing.
My suggestion here would be the following: get really clear on what your spiritual gifts are. What are your strengths? What brings you the most joy when using your spiritual gifts? What level of healing spiritually have you mastered?
Once you have answered these three questions, I believe you will have a better understanding of where you should focus your attention on your business. When you are clear and happy in what you are doing, that is the energy that you will be giving off, the universe will respond to that. I’m sure that in no time you will start to see a change.
