2017 I was newly awakened to crystals as a spiritual tool and went on an intuitive quest to attract the one for me. During intermission at a Pan African event, I browsed the vendors and saw a woman selling crystals. I looked at my husband with bright eyes from my 5 yr old self and tried not to run to the table. As my eyes perused over the different sizes, shapes , colors, and textures, my spirit was drawn to the rougher stones with sharp points. Large, rough, deep amber at the top, clear quartz point at the bottom, there she was, Citrine. Without a second thought, my heart fluttered, I knew she was the one for me. My citrine was giving 3D diamond the size of a baby fist. Overjoyed I put it around my neck immediately, I was in love.
Known to attract abundance in all forms, increase personal power, self confidence and positive energy, I wore my beautiful citrine necklace every day, everywhere. As a new business owner and Leo Sun it truly did its’ job in attracting opportunities and more light to my being. She quickly became my most sacred and loved treasure.
No stranger to being of service, I sat on the junior board of Precious Dreams Foundation, a wonderful organization dedicated to providing comfort items to children and teens in foster care. During one of our comfort drops, I met a young boy no older than 9 years old. We connected over expressive arts and talked about things we enjoyed doing. He drew a huge black spiral and started to draw blocks within it as he shared the dark things he would like to do for fun. While his imagination was unsettling, I was still able to see his light. As I shared my perspective of the world and could see his mind opening up to new possibilities, we heard the call that it was time to end.
“I knew I had to follow the divine instruction.”
Feeling incomplete, my spirit whispered, “give him your citrine”. “Excuse me”, I thought back to this emboldened feeling, “He’s a kid. He doesn’t even know what to do with it.” I felt a surge from the pit of my stomach to my heart. I knew I had to follow the divine instruction. I took a deep breath to ground and get in alignment with spirit. With joy, I removed my favorite gift, blessed it with gratitude and offered it to the young boy. His eyes lit up as I explained its magical powers and made him promise to keep it safe. After a brief conversation with his caretaker about the gift and final goodbyes, I felt complete.
A few months later, in the midst of covid, I sat at my computer to create a flyer but was missing my dear citrine resting heavily below my throat chakra. As I thought about her, a question rose from my sacral, “What is your essence?” After a few seconds of contemplation, the answer came from my heart, “Citrine”. “Put it on paper”, said my mind. Not sure where to start, I played and repeated my creativity and abundance affirmations, my hands began to move.
I screen grabbed a photo of Citrine, stared at it with intent and started to create. After a few hours Citrine Lady was born. I took step back to breathe in the creation and felt full; full of gratitude, full of abundance, full of joy. I had received clarity about my essence and created a digital citrine crystal that would not only benefit me but others too! It was a beautiful reminder that giving multiplies blessings for the giver.
The abundance of Citrine Lady inspired the birth of her crystal sisters Amethyst Queen, Rose Quartz Woman and Selenite Goddess. From being obedient and following the divine instruction to give an offering of my most sacred gift without fear or contempt, the Crystal Women were born.
