Kimberly Maska: Hello, everyone, I’m Kimberly Maska, your host of Spiritual Biz Chat, for Spiritual Biz Magazine. This month marks a huge milestone for Spiritual Biz Magazine. We have now been out there for one whole year. It is our one-year anniversary, and I am just super excited to be sharing this with you. To celebrate with me today, I have here with us our senior writer for Spiritual Biz Magazine, and my spiritual partner, Daniel Pape.
Daniel Pape: It’s really good to be here Kimberly. I’ve enjoyed the process of watching this company grow. It’s been one year already and here we are. Thank you.
Kimberly Maska: Of course. Super exciting. First, I want to start off by thanking and giving huge gratitude to our contributors and our readers because without you guys, we wouldn’t be here. We have so many talented contributors. I’m just always amazed every day when someone joins the team and is writing and being able to get their ideas out there with the world. It’s so beautiful. That’s exactly what we’re here for. You may or may not remember, but I had a goal when I started this magazine to create 5,000 spiritual entrepreneurs in five years. I know that’s a pretty lofty goal, but I am super excited to say that we are making progress. I’m actually getting to see the manifestation of this come up. It’s amazing when we can consciously create what we desire, and see it happen. Every day, I am working with spiritual entrepreneurs that are really getting out there and creating a ripple effect on the planet. That’s the whole goal. If we can have 5,000 spiritual entrepreneurs that have 5,000 businesses that are out there sharing their message, the power of what we can do is unbelievable.
Every day, I’m working with these incredible entrepreneurs who are doing just that, being able to touch thousands of lives and creating their own financial abundance with their business. It’s pretty amazing to watch people that are creating their life for a biz, as a business, and getting out there, and changing lives. It’s pretty incredible.
One of the questions I hear a lot is, “I think I’m a spiritual coach, but how do I know if I’m ready to step out? Like, If I don’t have a certification do I need to get a certification? Like, what do I do with that?” While certifications are lovely, they’re not really necessary and I know Daniel’s got a great viewpoint on this, so Daniel, can you bring some clarity to this?
Daniel Pape: This is a subject that’s very dear to me because as an autodidact, it’s something that I’ve been very focused on. For those of you out there who are not familiar with the term autodidact, it’s a Greek term meaning, auto, which of course means self, and didact meaning to learn. In essence, an autodidact is a self taught scholar who continuously seeks knowledge through every experience and perceives life as the ultimate teacher. They literally embrace self-education as the purest form of learning, and this is something that a lot of people struggle with because they wonder if they are ready to get out there and be a teacher (to read Daniel’s article on Autodidacts, CLICK HERE). How do I know if I’m truly qualified? Really, the only way to truly know this is yes, you could seek knowledge through schools and institutions, however, everyone must find self-knowledge, which is truly the ultimate knowledge. You’ve got to find it from within, and it’s really your story that you’re sharing with people, so when you think about it, who knows your story better than you? No one.
Take comfort in knowing that when you share this with someone, you’re only going to find the people that resonate with it, and the only true gauge that tells if what you’re sharing with someone has value is the results. When they apply what you’re sharing with them, how does it work? We have found this, the old way of thinking where somebody completes a curriculum and they receive a document saying that they’re ready, that’s one way to do it, but clearly that’s not the only way and we don’t even know if that’s the best way. From my perspective, true knowledge is self-knowledge, so embrace that you can do it and you just have to put it out there and see who resonates with it and you have to have courage to do that. A business is the best way to do that.
Kimberly Maska: Yeah, well said. It’s true because people get into that comparison energy mode and they start looking around and saying, “Well, who am I to be a coach? Who am I to be stepping out with my story?” Somebody will always resonate with you and not resonate with someone else, so remove the comparison and just know it is truly time to step out and share your valuable gift because what you have is incredibly valuable. You’re changing lives. You have a gift that source has given to you and really you’ve received this gift because you’re supposed to step out and to be able to step out and show the value of what you have. One of the other things I see spiritual entrepreneurs trip up on a lot is that they’re out there giving their gift away for free.
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m very much against that because what you have is so valuable, and there needs to be an energy exchange, so if you’re giving clients all of your energy and attention and you’re not getting energy exchange back in the form of money in particular is what we’re talking about, there’s an imbalance because money is just energy, and the universe wants everything to be in balance, and when things get out of balance, it gets very wobbly and things don’t go right. A lot of you know out there as spiritual entrepreneurs, you’re constantly giving and you’re feeling very depleted, so we need to be able to create that financial abundance, do that energy exchange for your gift because if you’re not doing that, what are you doing? You’re out there earning money in a job that is unfulfilling, that is kind of sucking your soul dry. It is not your purpose at all, so why is it okay to make money that way, but it’s not okay to make money with our spiritual gifts?
I think we’ve been told as healers for so long that we’re not supposed to charge for our gifts, and I think we’ve been told that to keep us down because can you think of what would happen on this planet if 5,000 spiritual entrepreneurs and more stepped out and were actually able to create abundance with their gifts? The impact that we can have is just something I can’t even fully put my mind around if you think of the ripple effect, and you think of all these spiritual entrepreneurs being able to create that financial abundance and being able to five back, being able to take that energy they create to then give back to change the planet? It’s truly unbelievable what our collective conscience can do.
The next time you want to give your gift away for free, I want you to think about that. How am I really serving if I’m giving it away for free? Because I’ll say this. Your clients will not value what you do as much because you’re giving it away for free. When was the last time you got something for free and you threw it in the trash, right? If you paid 1,000, 2,000 dollars for something, you are going to take very good care of whatever that is. That’s the same idea with your clients. They value what you do when they pay for it. Otherwise, you’re just kind of like a dog and pony show and how cute that was that they gave me a reading or how cute that was they read my aura, and that’s not what this is about. This is about you really stepping up and serving your clients in a major way. You have to have that energy exchange. How do you have that energy exchange? Well, you create a business, and Daniel, again, has some amazing perspective on this.
Daniel Pape: Well, a business. What really is a business when we think about it? It’s simply a vehicle. It’s a platform so that we can have, as you said, Kimberly, a balanced energy exchange. Many wantrepreneurs struggle at becoming entrepreneurs. I know they come from a good heart, but a good heart must lead to a wise heart if we want to serve on a major level. A good heart says, I’m going to give freely with what I’ve been given freely, but if you truly want to serve, the other person that you’re serving has to have vested interest, or else they’re going to treat you at very best as an entertainer. “Oh yeah, they told me my aura is orange, and then I went home and had a sandwich. I didn’t apply any of the information.”
When people have vested interest, they not only start to value what you’re sharing with them, but moreover, and I find this to be quite spiritual, you the teacher, become an open vessel to receive gratitude back from your clients in the form of financial abundance. Think about it. Most people think giving is, “I give and I give and I give and I give and I give some more. Then I go to sleep and I wake up and I start giving again.” I don’t think that’s giving. I think that seems to be quite draining. I think giving is, “I give and I receive, I give and I receive.” That’s what a proper business platform establishes, that balance of energy exchange. When you receive as a giver, you are allowing your client to give. You’re giving them a beautiful opportunity. You have to remember it’s a privilege for your client to pay you, not because you believe so much in yourself, but because you believe in them. You believe in your client, so you charge them.
If you just keep giving them things, they’re going to treat you, like I said, at very best as an entertainer, and they’re not going to value you, so there has to be a proper energy exchange. Embrace the business, and I’ll conclude by saying that I find it ironic that everyone that I speak to from the spiritual realm of wanting to create a business, are often very advanced spiritually. They’ve done the work. I understand it. I’ve been on a 25 year journey devoting and dedicating and you never get it done. Believe me. It’s a constant learning, and many are advanced spiritually, but their business sense is in an infancy stage. Something is out of balance.
Whenever you see someone who is very advanced spiritually but doesn’t have a proper business platform to share it, dare I say it’s selfish, right Kimberly? You have all this knowledge, but you’re not sharing it, so you must create a proper platform. That’s all a business is , a platform in which you can have an energy exchange. This is really Kimberly’s area of expertise. It’s what the bootcamp is all about, correct?
Kimberly Maska: That is true. Spiritual Biz Bootcamp. That is about really creating that platform so that you can get out there and really have an impact because it’s one thing to help your neighbors and your family and a couple people. Every month there’s two or three clients that you get in, and that’s lovely because that is a beautiful thing to do, but it’s a whole other thing where you’re serving 10, 20, 100 people, 1,000 people a month. Right now, I mean, truly I touch 20, 25,000 entrepreneurs every month, and it’s unbelievable. The people in my Spiritual Biz Bootcamp, my spiritual entrepreneurs that are doing amazing things, it’s incredible to watch them do the same thing, to be able to get out there and have that ripple effect. It’s really, truly beautiful.
I know just watching them grow because the Spiritual Biz Bootcamp is not only just a business growth platform, but it’s also a very personal growth. It’s truly a life changing program when people come in, and it’s so beautiful to watch people blossom personally and in their business. We’ve had a few people lately, it’s really been amazing. I’ll give a shout out to you Stacy. Stacy is halfway through the program, and she just launched the beta test of her program, and she’s made $7,000 in the past week. Then we have Zane, who is just totally kicking it out there. He has gone out there and sold a ton of packages. It’s been unbelievable. His business has skyrocketed, and I think he’s probably grossed somewhere in the 6,000 market, and he’s only halfway through the course. Then there’s Bridget who just cracks me up. She has actually booked herself solid through the end of June, so much that she is now forced to pre-launch her course because she can’t take anymore clients and the abundance is just flowing in.
It is truly an amazing process as these spiritual entrepreneurs are stepping out to be able to change lives. It’s really amazing.
