Human beings have been obsessed with the separation between spirituality and physicality. Does being spiritual mean that you have no physical needs? Are desires something we need to put limits on?
The realization of being human in this physical body, and the awareness of being a part of Spirit simultaneously allow me to clarify this simple concept of desire. We all have desires. Desires are what keep the expansion of the Universe flowing.
Most of our human desires start with lack, with the awareness of the “need” to change something. And most of the desires are being fulfilled from a place of fear and scarcity, that´s why it seems like if going from one desire to another feels like a hardship. However, once you accept your divine human nature, and appreciate the understanding of the desire as a guiding principle for the actions that you take to accomplish them, you can start using the emotion of desire to create instead of using it to limit yourself.
Desires can come from a place of need. Having these kinds of desires, keep us busy taking actions trying to compensate and justify for something out of our reach. Most people are having busy lives working, both physically and mentally, to accomplish those basic desires through actions coming from a feeling of scarcity and vulnerability. And that´s the reason why fulfilling desires feel like constant exhaustion and frustration.
However, desires can also come from a place of abundance. Desires with no need to justify themselves, accompanied by the impulse and ability to fulfill them. That´s the emotional state we as humanity are starting to acknowledge and master in our own life experience. The place where desires are created and fulfilled through our awareness of the “ability” to experience something.
Desires never stop. We can reject our human desirous nature, deny our physicality, and keep pushing against our own desires. However, desires are being born from ourselves every moment in time. Every time we experience something “not desired”, a new “desire” is born out of that contrast. Expansion through desire is inevitable. It is our choice to experience the lack of ability to respond to our desires, keeping ourselves in a place of scarcity and victimhood, or to experience the response-ability to fulfill them.
Making peace with your own desires and being willing to get up to speed with them is what it´s all about. Don´t you love having that fresh desire? Don´t you love to have desires in absolute knowing that everything that you ever want, or need will flow to help you, not just in the fulfillment of it, but in the fun flowing never-ending unfolding of it? That´s what you came here for, to fulfill your desires. Remember there was a trajectory of coming forth into this life and exercising your right and knowing that you´re the creator of your own reality. And knowing that no one else has any means to control you ever, that it was always your vibrational response to conditions.
In this physical body, you are exploring and determining your own preferences. And because this is the leading edge, these preferences are new and unique unto you, you might not realize it but these decisions that you´re making, these desires that are being born within you, really are unique unto you. So, you´re launching these rockets of desire, that have not been launched before, and when you do, you have the responsibility of fulfilling them.
So, the only relevant question is are you up to speed with the desires that are being born from you? Because they are coming forth, whether you realize them, or you chose to ignore them. Are you willing to do whatever it takes to create the abundance to fulfill them? Since expansion through new desires is inevitable, you might as well make peace with them and enjoy the process.
