DOWSING CHARTS are a great tool to help you progress with your dowsing and give you confidence in the answers you receive. The best tool to use when you are working with charts is a pendulum. I have included an example chart plus a blank chart that you can print out and adapt to your questions to practice with.
Once again I would like to recap on the importance of the dowsing ethics and protection. You must protect yourself before dowsing to ensure you are protected from any negative energies. You should also ALWAYS follow the correct dowsing ethics. E.g. you should ask permission to use whatever dowsing tool you have chosen to use before you can use it. If you get a ‘no’ then do not dowse and try again another time.
Programming Your Pendulum
While holding the chain to your pendulum between your index finger and thumb, you can program your pendulum by saying “show me a yes” and “show me a no”.
A ‘yes’ response can be seen by the pendulum swinging back and forth (a nodding motion). A ‘no’ response can be a left-to-right swinging motion OR you can train your pendulum to spin clockwise for a ‘yes’ answer and anti-clockwise for a ‘no’ answer. There is no right or wrong way, but whichever way you decide stick with it. You can practice this by asking your pendulum questions which you know the yes or no answer to. For example ‘Is it Friday today?’ ‘Am I at home?’ ‘Am I in my car?’ ‘Is it raining now?’
By asking questions which you know the answer to is a great way of checking that you are in the correct dowsing state and connected to your pendulum.
Charts
Charts are a great tool to use when dowsing. When using a chart, it is always useful to ask whether the answer or issue is listed on your chart. If you get a ‘yes’ answer then that is wonderful, but if you get a ‘no’ then maybe think of more options to add. It is impossible to list every possible contingency, so if this is the case it is important for you to add ‘other’ as an alternative answer to your chart.
Chart Dowsing Instructions
See below a chart customized with the days of the week. Please follow the dowsing ethics and instructions…
1. Protecting yourself.
2. Put yourself in the dowsing state.
3. Asking permission to use the pendulum.
4. Ask a few test questions to check you are connected to your pendulum.
5. Ask permission to ask your question. E.g. ‘Should I?’ ‘Can I?’ ‘May I?’
6. Place your hand on the chart to connect with it.
7. Ask your question, it can be asked out loud or asked privately in your mind.
8. The example question I am using is a simple question… ‘What day is it today?’ You can reuse this chart to ask many other questions.
9. Have the question clearly in your mind while holding your pendulum in one hand. Hold the pendulum above the star on the chart below.
10. The pendulum will begin to swing back and forth, the segment which the pendulum swings towards will be your answer. You may get incorrect answers at the beginning, keep practicing!
The Secret to Good Dowsing
Remember the secret to good dowsing is not only asking the right questions, it is also ensuring you are detached from the answer. We need to put ourselves in a dowsing state and not second guess what the answer will be. You should not have any attachment to what the answer to the question is and if you are able to ask the question with an inquisitive mind, then you have hopefully succeeded in becoming detached. If you are able to put yourself in a dowsing state, ask the right question without being attached to the outcome, then with lots of practice and patience you will become an accurate dowser and your intuition will develop. For more information about how to do this please refer to last month’s Spiritual Biz article.
See below a blank chart for you to adapt and practice with.
What I have written about is literally just the tip of the iceberg, the list is endless of the things you can use dowsing for. If you would like more information about dowsing, please, contact me, and as always, I will be happy to help.
