Indeed, Mr. Pape has used every phase of his eclectic life to gain greater personal insight, and in doing so discovered something more powerful than he ever imagined, and now he shares it with you.

Welcome everybody, welcome to Spiritual Biz Chat for Spiritual Biz Magazine. Today we have joining us Daniel Pape, author, mindset coach, and mystic scholar. Welcome, Daniel, and thank you for being with us, how are you doing today?

DANIEL PAPE:   All is well, thank you, it’s good to be here with you.

It’s a pleasure to have you here, Daniel! Having the honor to see your work firsthand, I know you as a coach with a very unique approach to mindset and spirituality, inspiring your clients to create order out of chaos, go beyond limiting beliefs, and ultimately learn to use every experience as an asset for growth. When and how did you get on this spiritual path yourself? What was the inspiration behind your current life’s purpose and work?

DANIEL:   This is an emotional subject even after all these years, but to answer your question, it all started for me when I was seventeen years old. That was the year my best friend was killed in a car accident in which I was the driver. My reckless behavior slammed us both into a tree going about 70 MPH. As for me, my life was thrust into utter chaos, as for my friend, his life was over; he was gone forever.

My world became filled with despair because I knew that regardless of my efforts I would never escape the fact that my friend was dead, and I felt responsible. Things were extremely dark then; I stared into the abyss and knew I was close to the point of no return. I prayed that I’d find my way back to the light, and just when things seemed the darkest, I heard a voice deep within me say, “You can’t bring your friend back but if you are willing to use your life to find the deeper meaning behind life’s tragedies, you will make sure he did not die in vain and perhaps discover something extraordinary in the process.”

This inner voice made it crystal clear that if I wanted to save my soul, I’d have to stop feeling sorry for myself and learn to create order out of the chaos that lay before me. That was the moment I vowed to turn my negative experience into a positive outcome; my spiritual journey had begun. I didn’t know it at the time but that vow became my life’s mission, and eventually what would inspire me to do the type of work I do today.

What was the turning point in taking the steps to make this life’s mission of yours a business? And how have you managed to turn that into a business?

DANIEL:   In 2012, I went through a challenging transition where I found myself selling most of my prized possessions; which included my dream house in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, CA. Not only was I losing my home, but my profession and intimate relationship as well. These changes, though difficult, made me realize it was time to reinvent myself. With the money I’d made from the sale of my house I decided to do some soul searching and travel back to where I was born, Long Island, New York.

On one particular afternoon after visiting my mother, I recalled the commitment I’d made so many years before in that very same town where as a teenage boy I vowed to transcend a negative experience. As those memories came flooding in, I began meditating and focusing on future images such as a new relationship, house, and career as a published author and spiritual entrepreneur.

Interestingly enough, around this same time, I met my future wife, Kimberly Maska, who was also going through a vulnerable period in her life. On our first date, I invited her to hear me sing at the House of Blues in Los Angeles where I took her backstage to meet the band. I don’t think she was overly impressed with my rock ’n’ roll antics nor the bevy of female friends who were always within arm’s reach, but from what I understand she was somewhat impressed with my knowledge of ancient wisdom teachings such as Gnosticism and Hermeticism. You’d have to ask her but being that she married me, I think it’s safe to say that I impressed her.

Anyway, after the gig, we sat and talked for hours, and during our conversation, we both came to the astonishing realization that we’d attracted each other using our understanding of the mechanics behind The Law of Attraction. Kimberly wanted to attract a man who possessed a rare combination of qualities, such as esoteric knowledge, good physical condition, a healthy appetite for French food, and the ability to make a dry martini. Basically, she wanted a reformed bad boy. If you ask me, I think she scored on all four counts.

I, on the other hand, was looking to attract a woman with beautiful eyes, who was kind-hearted, intelligent, liked to cook, and had specific knowledge on how to market spiritual entrepreneurs. Well, let’s just say I hit the jackpot, no doubt we both did because now our business is also our pleasure!

What a beautiful story! Fast forward to today, you have helped hundreds of people, including Kimberly Maska’s clients in her Spiritual Biz Bootcamp, reach their full potential, serve others with their spiritual gifts, and create financial abundance. Could you share one or two most fascinating success stories of how you helped someone gain clarity and get on the right track?

DANIEL:   I have had the great fortune of not only working with Spiritual Biz Bootcamp clients but also with NFL players. One of my favorite success stories is my work with a former first-round draft pick, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, Dwayne Bowe. Dwayne is an extremely gifted athlete who possesses tremendous speed and power but when he and I first met, he was leading the league in the most dropped passes by a wide receiver category. That is not the kind of record an NFL player wants to hold. But during our time together, Dwayne worked on shifting his mindset and focusing on turning chaos into order.

In addition to mental strengthening, we did stamina training along Runyon Canyon in Los Angeles, California. It showed great dedication on Dwayne’s part. He accomplished something extraordinary and went on to hold the league record for most touchdown receptions by a wide receiver that year. He is a living example of what a strong mindset can accomplish; not only did it allow him to become a leader in his position, but it earned him a $56-million-dollar contract as well. Of course, he went on to go to the Pro-Bowl in Hawaii that year and invited me to go as his guest. He is a true inspiration, and it was an honor to aid him in his transformation.

These days, many of the NFL players experience chaos because they are thrown into a world of money and fame at a young age. I have worked with several players to bring order into their life so they can focus on taking their game to the highest level.

I also hear you have been working on a book. Would you like to share a bit of what it is about? What do you hope for the readers to take away after reading your book?

DANIEL:   Yes, it is titled, “The Disheveled King”. I have been working on this book for several years, and I am pouring my heart and soul into it. In it, I share my life journey, from my first childhood experience with Source Energy to the tragedy at 17 that I have already touched upon, and my search for the deeper meaning behind all I have experienced.

I have lived an eclectic life with an array of professions: from singer, songwriter, erotic film star, and multi-million dollar venture capitalist, and now to author, mindset coach, and spiritual entrepreneur. I recount my experiences and show how each and every one of them, no matter how wild or tame, has played a role in my spiritual growth. Even if it looked like a negative experience, to begin with.

“The Disheveled King”… That is an interesting title. Is there specific significance behind it?

DANIEL:   Absolutely, I believe we all have a king and queen archetype within us. When we came into this dimension we were gifted with a divine spark. But then life begins, we fall into a deep sleep and eventually, forget our true origin.

However, the journey of life is truly magnificent because it challenges us to wake up, get a little dirty and slay our personal dragons, and if we are victorious in doing so, we not only reclaim our crown but evolve exponentially, hence “The Disheveled King”. The title is to remind us that we are all capable of going back to the light and rediscovering the king or queen that lives within us.

Daniel, what is your ultimate goal with your work? Your dream? What are some projects that are on your mind and that you are currently working on?

DANIEL:   My ultimate goal is to masterfully balance the chaos and order in my own life, and by doing so show others that even a negative experience can be turned into a positive outcome. Unfortunately, too many people get energetically stuck when a negative situation occurs, thus missing the opportunity for spiritual growth.

However, with the use of one’s own free will, they can face the dragon of chaos and uncover the gem that lays dormant within their shadow. This courageous undertaking is commonly known as “The Hero’s Journey”.  It has become my mission to encourage others to take their own personal hero’s journey, transcend inner conflict, and ultimately learn the art of turning chaos into order.

As far as upcoming projects, I am creating a new 8-week course to help my clients reignite their inner spark and find the deeper meaning behind the tragedies in their lives. In addition to “The Disheveled King”, I am outlining my second book which exposes the dangers of spiritual bypassing and the importance of egoic individuation.

Who knows, perhaps one of them will be made into a feature film at some point. In essence, I am staying creative, living in the moment, and trusting that inspiration will continue to lead the way.

Is there a final message you want to let the audience know? Or just any last little words that you have for them?

DANIEL:   Be fearless in all you pursue and whenever divine inspiration strikes, make the most of the opportunity. Shine your light as bright as you possibly can but don’t neglect your shadow, for it is the balanced person who shines the brightest. Therefore, rather than striving to be a “good” person, strive to be a “whole” person. Indeed, it is the light of wholeness that allows your inner king and queen to step forward.

So profound, thank you, Daniel! If our readers wanted to reach you, where can they find you?

DANIEL:   They can connect with me on Facebook and keep an eye out for “The Disheveled King”.

Thank you, Daniel, very much! It has been such a pleasure chatting with you today!

DANIEL:   Thank you so much. Likewise, it’s been a pleasure.
