Kimberly: Welcome everybody, welcome to Spiritual Biz Chat for Spiritual Biz Magazine, I am your host, Kimberly Maska, and for our cover this month, we have a couple of beautiful angels joining us, Antonella and Massimo. They are spiritual partners, and Antonella is the author of We Are Human Angels which is an incredible book that shows you how you can be a human angel here on earth and create your own miracles.
And it’s been spontaneously translated into over 15 languages by the readers. It’s had such an impact on everyone. So thank you so much, Antonella and Massimo, for joining us today.
Antonella: Thank you, Kimberly.
Massimo: Thank you, thank you, we are so excited.
Kimberly: Beautiful. So you are lovely Human Angels, and I would love to hear your story and share with our readers who aren’t familiar with you, your story about how you came to write this book.
Massimo: I think the best person to answer first is Antonella who wrote the book.
Antonella: Like everything in my life, it was about following my passion, and so it was natural. Before being a spiritual writer, I owned an advertising agency. I started this advertising agency when I was 30 years old and at the time, it was my passion. I had asked myself, “What would I like to do? Advertising sounded interesting and exciting so I want to work in advertising.” And so, following my passion, I had my own agency, I had big customers. I worked on television programs, it was a very, very interesting life, traveling, meeting important business people, important television people.
But year by year this work started become boring to me. And so at a certain point, I decided to sell my company. If you follow your passion, you don’t think. I mean, you use the thought level afterwards. Before you act you say, “Oh my God and now what I can do?”
I sold my company, and then I asked myself, “And now, what do I do? What’s my passion?” My passion was to write about spirituality, to share my spiritual path with the entire world because it’s important. Important to never let your life be driven by self-limiting beliefs and thoughts. So I wanted to share my spiritual path, my experience with the entire world. I followed my passion, and my passion drove me where I need to be and this is what I did.
I started to write the first book, then the other three books came, and it was a very, very exciting and wonderful and unexpected path. And now I’m here, talking with you from Italy to California.
Kimberly: Beautiful. I love how you went from corporate, doing that you loved at the time, then there’s that moment, that ‘a-ha’ where we know we’re not living our purpose. And it’s so beautiful that you followed that purpose. And clearly, it’s the right move because you now have a following of three-quarter of a million people on Facebook. This book has really resonated with people around the world. So you definitely know you’re on the right path, touching lives.
You went from having an advertising agency to now being an author and sharing your message, so how have you managed to turn that into a business? I know spiritual entrepreneurs struggle with the idea of sharing their gift and also creating financial abundance with it, so share how you’ve managed to create that abundance by actually running this as a business and living your purpose.
Massimo: Well, first of all, we have to say that abundance is the birthright of every human being. Many people on the spiritual path think that they have to stay away from practical things in life, but we are talking about well-deserved money that comes from an inspiration that springs from the heart, that is done with integrity, that is done with passion.
When we wake up in the morning, our first question is, “What can we do today for the world?” So it’s about being connected with very high frequencies and we absolutely think that every person who works with passion, with love, deserves money. It’s not something to be ashamed of.
Antonella: Money is energy. It is nothing more than or nothing less than energy. When you put in the world good and high energy, the world will give you back a lot of different kinds of energy and one of them is money. One is love and one is gratitude and one is money. So why not?
Massimo: Of course, you don’t have to be focused on money because this would drive you towards a different direction. You have to live with integrity, you have to do things in a proper way, you have to be determined, but money is something nice. We accept money from our wonderful readers who bought the book, and we are very thankful to them, absolutely.
Kimberly: Beautiful. I love to think of money as the love that our audience has for us. So when you serve, it just comes back to you in money energy, it’s their love.
In creating this business and really stepping out there, how do you keep yourself in alignment with who you are and keep yourself in alignment with your purpose and creating financial abundance? Do you have a secret that you use?
Massimo: Yeah, but you can’t tell, it’s a secret.
Antonella: Just to be more serious, our books are a perfect fruit of integrity because I write them just connecting with my inner source. I normally don’t read the other books, other spiritual authors because I want just to be me and my higher self, my angels or whoever from the unseen world that inspires me.
Massimo: Well, I can say that when we started having success, we didn’t change anything in how we are. It’s really hard to put it into words because we just didn’t have any other way of doing things.
Antonella: Yeah, it’s a natural way of doing things. We are ourselves and we do what we like to do.
Massimo: The success has even nourished our wish to be and to live with integrity because when you receive so many emails from readers from all over the world, that say to you, “I have read your book in English and I really want to translate it into my own native language because I want to help you spread the word because I got your message.” Then, what else can you do other than keeping on living with integrity and loving what you do?
So success, we had to say, has absolutely not changed anything.
Antonella: In our case, success is what happened to us. Not what we were looking for, fighting for, striving for, it just happened to us because everything was natural.
Massimo: Absolutely. So we feel gratitude and we go on the same way.
Kimberly: I love that. When we live our purpose, and we stay in integrity, it does just happen. You don’t have to try and you’re a perfect example.
Antonella: We couldn’t imagine it. I couldn’t imagine because I wrote the book in Italian, then Massimo and a friend of ours translated into English. What happened was really, really beyond my expectations. I couldn’t imagine that people from all over the world would start to write us and to ask us to translate the book into their native languages.
Massimo: It was absolutely amazing. It just happened. I have to say that the Universe knows perfectly well what you are doing. Despite what you think you are doing, the Universe knows very well what your real purpose in life is. And sometimes it gives you signs.
Antonella was already on a spiritual path, even when she was running her advertising agency. But I was not on the spiritual path until I met Antonella who is really my teacher. I have learned a lot from her and I still learn something new every day from her.
And sometimes, I know it’s not very spiritual to use this term, but something pulls the trigger. Something happens all of a sudden because you have endured so many difficult things in your life that at a certain point you have two choices. Either you keep on struggling to find a solution in the same old way or you just surrender. What we did, the two of us, is that we surrendered to what the signs of the Universe showed us.
Kimberly: Surrender. If we could all surrender more, we’d be much happier.
Massimo: And to surrender is an act of courage. You have to be very bold to surrender.
Kimberly: That’s beautiful, I love that. I’m gonna steal that quote. We’re gonna put that everywhere. I like how you guys call yourselves spiritual anarchists. So explain what you mean by that because I think that is such a cool phrase, so many people get so caught up in “What do I have to do to be spiritual?” and they follow these rules and I feel like they lose sight of the process. So explain what you mean by being spiritual anarchists.
Antonella: I want to go back. When I was a teenager, I was very, very against everything and so I was anarchist; no rules. Now, grown up, I am still a little bit anti-system. So I like to say spiritual anarchist because I don’t like to follow any spiritual rules because I think that everyone of us is a divine being.
It’s good to have a teacher, to do yoga – have a spiritual mentor, but you don’t have to give up to your divinity. So it means that you are your guru, you have everything within yourself. You don’t have to look around to find the truth because you have the truth, you are the truth and so this is a spiritual anarchist. This means I don’t follow any guru, any discipline, that because I follow my higher self and everyone has the possibility to do this. It’s good to do yoga, to meditate but don’t give up your inner power. This is the meaning of spiritual anarchist.
Massimo: When you are in the middle of a quagmire and you say, “Oh no, I’m on a spiritual path so I have to do this that way, I have to follow this sort of rules and I only have to read certain books or listen to certain music…,” this is a sort of limitation.
Antonella: Yeah, or hang out only with “spiritual” people. This is the way to separate, it’s a way of separation. But in reality, as I wrote in one of my books, everything is spiritual. Every being is spiritual because our divine nature is our true essence. So spiritual is everything.
Massimo: And you know, we know that many spiritual people think, “I am holier than you because I am spiritual,” but we have experienced that some, not all, but some so-called “spiritual” people, their lives are a mess. I mean, they don’t put into practice what they read. The concept of oneness, being one with everything and everyone is something that certain ideas of spirituality don’t really match with, the idea and the essence of oneness. It’s a sort of separation. If it’s a separation, it’s a judgment. If it’s a judgment, it comes from the ego. So you are back to the original problem, even if you have read thousands of books. This is why, with all due respect, we consider ourselves spiritual anarchists.
Kimberly: Beautifully said, I absolutely love that. We see that a lot, where people are healers and they’re trying to guide people, and yet they are very stuck. Like you said, Antonella, it is about connecting with your higher source, that’s all it’s about. When we can connect, everything becomes so clear. We should all be spiritual anarchists.
