Who are you? You have heard this question many times, but much us are either not quite sure who we are or think we know who we are! Which one are you? I was asking myself this very question all of the last year, and I got frustrated every time I didn’t know the answer. I have been on an inner quest for years, searching within me, “Who am I?” I finally have the answer, and the answer is the same for everyone.
Who are you not? You are not your problems, your circumstances, your past, your present, or your future! You are not all the labels we use, such as mother, father, wife, husband, doctor, lawyer, etc.! We have been so accustomed to label ourselves with all of these names that we often lose sight of who we really are. When we begin searching who we are, we think the answer is based on what career or purpose we have here in this life. You might be saying to yourself, “Is she crazy? Of course, I am a doctor, a mother, and a wife!” No, you are not! You are not any of these things.
You are much more than what you have always limited yourself to be. Yes, when we label ourselves we are in fact limiting ourselves. I understand we have been taught to refer to ourselves based on what we have achieved, such as becoming a mother to your children, whether through childbirth or adoption, becoming a wife or husband to the person you married, or becoming a doctor or lawyer after all your years of study, but you are so much more than these labels!
You are Love. You are Peace. You are Joy. You are Abundance. You are Spirit. You are Source. You are THE Universe. You are GOD! Yes, I said it. You are GOD, I am GOD, and We are GOD!
These bodies we are in are temporary, but our Spirit is eternal. Most of us have been taught that GOD is an external being or energy. This is false. GOD lives and breathes inside of us. That is why I like to call us Co-Creators because we live and breathe this creative energy every day! Don’t be shy or afraid to call yourself GOD. It is not a disrespect to your belief system. It is TRUTH! When I say we are GOD, I do not say this in ego, thinking I am better than anyone, for I am the same as everyone! We are all connected, made of the same atom, we are all one, and we are all the same! Yes, we are different, hold different perspectives, have different appearances, gifts, talents, and philosophies, but we are in fact the same! We are GOD! Get comfortable with that label, for it is the one label that is completely accurate. Own your GOD, your Power, your Creativity, and LOVE yourself just as you LOVE your GOD, because that GOD is, in fact, YOU!
That is who YOU are, God/ Source/Universe, whichever term resonates with you! Be the Love, Light, Peace, Joy, and Abundance that resides inside of you! Own it every day!
