Many of us feel as though we are working hard, spending long hours in the office but we are not receiving the financial rewards we deserve.
Do you feel like you are walking against the wind or constantly walking uphill? Does everything seem to be going wrong? Are you generating money in your life and business but as soon as it comes in the door, it goes straight back out again? Well, you are not alone; this is one of the most common problems my clients ask me about.
There are many reasons this can be happening, so here are some thought-provoking questions that may help you solve your problem.
Is your house or office in disrepair?
A well-cared-for home or office is great feng shui. You don’t see many millionaires with houses that are in disrepair. Walk around your home or office with fresh eyes and a notebook. Make a note of all the maintenance jobs that need to be done or finished, then get to work.
- How does the exterior of your home look; is it well maintained?
- Is your home in good condition?
- Does your garden look cared for?
- Is the interior and exterior paintwork in good condition?
- Is your roof in good repair?
Remedy: The appearance of a house and garden on approach is so very important. A house in disrepair is a big No-No in feng shui, it can attract negative energy. Ensure your home is clean, in good repair, and attractive to the eye.
Do you need to declutter?
The best way to get the energy moving again is to declutter your home or office. Sort out your cupboards, drawers, wardrobe, your handbag, purse, or wallet. You will see a big difference if you do this, you are making space for the new energy to come in while moving the stuck energy around.
Is your energy stuck?
Another great tip for those of you who don’t have time to declutter but want to get that energy moving again quickly is to move items around. A great way of doing this is to purposely move 28 items. For example, swap pictures that are hanging up in your home, move ornaments; a great thing to do is to move your furniture around. I also like to clap in the corners of the room, my family laughs when I do this, but oxygen is all around us, we cannot see it, but we know it is there. Energy is similar to oxygen, it is everywhere but we can’t see it, energy can become stagnant.
Where is your bathroom placement?
The placement of your bathroom is important. There are things to be aware of with your bathroom/toilet placement:
- Avoid premises with the toilet above the front door as this presses down the luck of the business or home. You should always keep this bathroom door closed and try to use it as least as possible. Placing bright lights in your hallway below will help.
- If your office shares a wall with a toilet or bathroom, and there is a toilet, sink, bath, or shower against this wall in the bathroom, then avoid placing your desk up against the adjoining bathroom wall. The draining energy will affect your work and business. We all need bathrooms, but bathrooms can be the cause of this problem by draining away your money and luck. Unfortunately, there is no perfect place to have a bathroom. If you are a male business owner, it is not ideal to have a business with a bathroom or toilet in the northwest, as this sector represents the breadwinner or the man of the house. If you are a female business owner, then the southwest isn’t a good place for a bathroom or toilet as this sector represents the woman and relationships. You should not activate or harmonize a bathroom sector. For example, you would normally activate or harmonize the south, which is the fame sector using the colors red or purple, also using candles. But if your bathroom was in this sector, you should not activate this sector, if you do then you are energizing the fame energy with the negative draining energy of the toilet/bathroom.
Does your home have any water leaks?
- Check all your pipes.
- Check your faucets.
Remedy: Leaking water represents loss. If you do have a leak, then your money could literally be going down the drain. I recommend you call a plumber to fix this issue as a priority.
Are your drains blocked at your property?
- Check your drains regularly.
- Ensure all the gutters are clear.
- Check any faucets.
Remedy: Unblock any blockages you find and keep a check on them regularly as blockages could have a direct impact on your finances, your career, or your life in general. A blockage in any area of your life or home can be troublesome.
Is the energy blocked from entering your home or office?
Make sure there is nothing blocking the entrance to your office or your home. A client of mine had an exercise bike directly in front of their office door, which they had to squeeze past to get in and out; this blocked the energy from entering, another client had a pile of boxes in their doorway. Once they moved the items, the work started to flow in again. A lady who owned a beauty salon had their reception desk directly in front of the entrance door; my suggestion was to move it to one side to allow the chi energy to enter, business was slow but once they made the change, the business improved. Another common issue is a tree directly in front of your entrance door, trees can block the energy from entering.
Is your entrance easy to find?
If your front door is on the side of your house then this can cause issues. You can remedy this by lighting up the path to your front door. Make the entrance area as attractive as possible by adding bright-colored plants and plant pots so your eye is drawn to the entrance area. There is a popular saying in feng shui, where your eye goes, the energy goes!
