Are You Feeding Your Body, Mind and Soul?

Is the food you are taking in nourishing you on all levels? Sure we all know the value of eating lots of fruits and vegetables and drinking lots of water. But I’m not talking about “healthy” foods. I’m talking about how you eat what you eat. Have you ever wondered why some people can actually thrive on what we might consider unhealthy food while others, no matter how healthy they eat, seem to suffer from physical, mental, or emotional issues?

We are vibrational, energetic beings. When we eat, we are not only taking the physical food into our physical bodies, we are also taking in what we are feeling and thinking about as we are eating, into our emotional and mental energy bodies. If you are feeling guilty when you are eating anything, you will be creating the frequency of guilt in your energy field. This low vibration will do more harm than anything you are putting in your mouth. And will also have the negative side effect of canceling out the nutritional value of anything you are putting in your mouth.

If you are eating healthy foods from a place of guilt, then you will ingest the low frequency of guilt into your energy field as you eat. This alone will counteract the positive effect the seemingly healthy food has on you. If you are indulging in something, say a delicious piece of chocolate cake, and the whole time you are feeling guilty instead of being present in enjoying it, the low frequency of guilt will add to any perceived harm the “unhealthy” food will do.

Everything, including food, has the power over us we give it. There are countless scientific tests out there that show humans not only surviving on but thriving on foods we think they wouldn’t be able to. It is important for you to enjoy and feel good about the foods you are eating. This alone will allow your bodies, both physical and spiritual, to thrive on what you are eating.

If you are eating lots of fruits and veggies, eat them from a place of supporting you, not as a must to be healthy. You are healthy because you intend it, you are healthy because that is your natural state when you are connected to Source. When you are having your cake and eating it too, enjoy the indulgence. Be in the moment of the taste, the feel, the smell. Be fully present in what you are eating and your enjoyment of it.

Next time you sit down to eat anything, remember these simple tips and you will be sure to feed your body, mind, and soul.

  • Set an intention for what you want from your food. Example: This food is nourishing to every cell in my body.
  • Be present when you are eating. Yes, pay attention to the experience of food. And drink for that matter. Be a part of the experience.
  • If you catch yourself judging or coming from a place of guilt or lack, use that as an opportunity of awareness and switch it up to a positive, connected state. Example: I shouldn’t be eating this cake, it’s so bad for me. Switch it to. This cake tastes amazing. I am finding joy in this moment and joy connects me to my Source.

And most of all, remember, you are the creator of your reality. You only have to live by the rules you create and honestly, you can change those any time you choose. Your beliefs create your reality. If you want to change the way you nourish yourself, take stock of your beliefs around food and health and start changing them to serve you from a place of empowerment.
