I asked the Universe for $10,000.
My prayer was answered most unexpectedly. I had already hit my financial rock bottom, and my stress level was off the charts. I declared to the Universe that I was ready to have monetary abundance, be my only story.
But how do I make that my reality?
I began to see that I had a severe case of a Poverty Mindset. Day and night, I worked to bring in rich, oxygenated thoughts through my brain, flooding every cell with the message of abundance. Turning my back on the deafening messages of scarcity around me, I determined to make no room for any messages saying anything other abundance. I listened to audios, read books, and played prosperity games of all kinds.
It was during this inner work that I said my $10,000 prayer. I didn’t realize that my prayer was an invitation for Life to test my new mindset out. The test started the night I flew into Bucharest, Romania and accidentally dropped my laptop. After paying $650 worth of computer repair, I received news within hours of some unexpected repairs needed on my house in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The landslide had begun.
Dollar signs slipped away from me like mud gushing down a mountain. $824 sliding away here and $587 over there. After four months of havoc, the avalanche finally leveled out and I reviewed the damage. 
The landslide totaled about $10,000.
I know I would not have been able to handle this magnitude of financial pressure in a past version of myself. But because of my new abundance mindset, my stress level barely made a 1.5 out of 10. I was definitely uncomfortable, but I was fine. I made it through a serious financial disaster unscathed because of my new way of thinking, something I still celebrate today.
Stressing about money is not a reality I experience anymore. I’ve learned that it takes time, patience, and consistency to reprogram the brain away from poverty-stricken thoughts. But I have shown myself, and now my clients who are experiencing similar results, that it’s absolutely possible.
My $10,000 prayer was answered so lovingly by the Universe. I was being shown that I can experience a peaceful relationship with money, no matter whether it’s coming or going.
I understand now that when I was asking for that wad of cash, what I was really asking for was feelings of peace, security, and freedom. I thought the literal money in my hands would bring me all that. But I understand now that nothing outside of me will ever offer those feelings to me.
I give those to me.
My new lifestyle of financial freedom means I am free from fear. With all the gratitude in the world for my solid abundance mindset, I am experiencing a never-ending landslide of peace, freedom and wealth.
